The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints held a Youth Cultural Celebration on Saturday to celebrate the dedication of the new Meridian Idaho temple.

More than 6,000 local youth put on a production at Boise's Taco Bell Arena. The show featured approximately 4,900 dancers and a 1,100 voice youth choir.

McKaae Cook is on the Youth Advisory Council and performed in Saturday's production.

"It's just so surreal we've been working so hard for so long," said Cook. "Since June we've been working on different things and it's just so exciting to finally be here even though it's a little sad that it's the last day. It's just super exciting that it's all come together."

The event is entitled Be Strong, Steadfast and Immovable, which the church says comes from the unique name and location of the Meridian Idaho temple.

The Youth Cultural Celebration marks the completion of the Meridian Idaho Temple, which will be dedicated on November 19th.
