ISP: Truck driver sustains minor injuries after running into train in eastern Idaho
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) —
A 21-year-old man had minor injuries after the semi truck he was driving collided with a train on Tuesday.
Police say Zakary Shurtliff of Hamer was driving eastbound on SH33 just east of the Sage Port of Entry. According to police he approached milepost 62 and hit a rear box car as the train was crossing at 2:53 PM.
Shurtliff was wearing a seat belt.
The Idaho State Police was assisted by Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho Department of Transportation.
The crash is under investigation.
