Identity of man found in Boise canal released
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) —
The identity of a man who was found dead in a canal Tuesday morning has been released.
The Ada County Coroner says the man is Kevin Self, 45, of Garden City.
Crews were dispatched Tuesday morning to a report of a body in a canal just after 8:30 a.m. Investigators say someone spotted the body while headed to work.
When responders arrived on scene they discovered an adult man's body in a canal grate off of State Street in Boise. Crews tried to resuscitate the man, but were unsuccessful.
The coroner was not able to determine the cause of death but says there are no signs of foul play.
The cause and manner of death are pending a toxicology test, which could take weeks.
