Idaho Humane Society offers $5K for info on dart ducks, horse

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - The Idaho Humane Society is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of two recent animal cruelty cases in the Treasure Valley.

Last week, a Meridian woman contacted KBOI 2News after she found about 10 ducks hit with blow darts.

"While the darts were not immediately fatal to the ducks, they do pose a great risk for a slow, painful death due to the injuries and possible infection caused by the darts," IHS said in a news release.

And, over the weekend, the Ada County Sheriff's Office said someone shot a horse with a gun. Officials later had to put the horse down.
