Idaho call center closes, 100 workers lose jobs

REXBURG, Idaho (AP) - About 100 workers have lost their jobs after an eastern Idaho call center in Rexburg closed.

The Standard Journal reports that the Opinionology Market Research Call Center closed on Wednesday.

Opinionology and Survey Sampling International merged last year. Officials at the call center declined to comment and SSI did not return a phone message.

Tedd Vinson says he was told Wednesday he was out of a job and that he didn't see it coming.

He says he was told he would receive two weeks' severance pay.

The company also closed a call center in Arizona last week, putting about 150 people out of work.
