I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
While we all try to escape the heat, some business owners are cashing in.
When the sun is beating down on you, there's almost nothing better than a scoop of ice cream.
"There's kind of an ideal ice cream weather," said the owner of Goody's in Boise.
For many, Goody's is the place to go for that cold sweet treat.
"Each bucket is 2 gallons and we go through at least 50 of those on a weekend day, on average. So probably over 100 gallons," said the owner.
That's about five thousand scoops of ice cream per day.
"We go through a lot of ice cream, you build up great arm muscle," said a manager with Goody's. "(We're) scooping non-stop for probably 4 hours before we close."
It's not just dessert time...
"10AM (we have) people banging on the door trying to come in," said a manager.
People rarely come alone.
"I think it's kind of a social thing for people like people always go out and eat and obviously ice cream is cold, but people like to eat ice cream together," said the owner.
In this heat wave, it seems the old addage is true, I scream... you scream... we all scream for ice cream!
