Husband charged with murder in wife's strangulation

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Ada County Coroner has confirmed that a 58-year-old Boise woman was strangled to death.

The coroner says Beba Macomb died at her home located on 1620 W. Warren Street in Boise at about 5 a.m. Thursday.

The coroner says Macomb died of asphyxiation due to manual strangulation with the "manner being homicide."

All Boise Police would say is that Macomb's husband, 62-year-old Bruce Macomb, "caused the death of the victim" after an investigation by detectives.

Bruce Macomb has been charged with first degree murder.

This is the second homicide in Boise in less than a week. On Monday, 28-year-old Mathew Mohler-Kerns was found dead inside his vehicle. Police say he was shot once in the head.
