Home partially collapses as fire destroys North End home

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Fire crews responded to a fully involved house fire in the North End of Boise Thursday night.

Officials say firefighters requested a 3rd alarm because of heavy smoke and flames coming from the house near Hill Road and Castle Road.

Firefighters say the home was undergoing a remodel and there was no one home.

No injuries have been reported.

Part of the house eventually collapsed while firefighters were nearby, according to fire officials, which prompted them to do safety checks and roll calls to make sure everyone was OK.

Boise Police say Hill Road was closed between Collister and Castle due to emergency response.

Fire officials say live power lines were down in the area and Idaho Power responded.

The fire spread to two nearby homes, but firefighters were able to put those fires out quickly.
