Head-on crash kills Marsing woman, sends two to the hospital

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (KBOI) - Canyon County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a head-on crash that killed a Marsing woman Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday near Highway 55, east of the Lake Road intersection.

According to witnesses and evidence on scene, a Chevrolet station wagon crossed over the center line of the roadway and collided with a Ford Truck.

Deputies say 61-year-old Thelma Jean Matthews of Marsing was driving the station wagon. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Canyon County Sheriff's Office said the two people in the Ford Truck were taken to the hospital, and both are in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
