Go inside Nampa Bomb Squad robot bust at hotel

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) -- The Nampa Police Department has released footage of a Nampa Bomb Squad robot bust -- offering the public a rare and first-hand look inside the potentially dangerous situation.

Nampa PD say officers were trying to locate Angel Pena, who was wanted on a burglary charge, at a hotel on the 600 block of Northside Boulevard early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say Pena slammed the door on police and locked himself inside the room and refused to come outside.

And that's when the bomb squad brought in the remote controlled robot. The suspect later voluntarily gave himself up.

He's now been booked in the Canyon County Jail.
