Garden City stabbing suspect arrested in KBOI 2News' parking lot

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Police arrested the man wanted for stabbing a 46-year-old Boise man in Garden City last weekend. Officers say 30-year-old Shawn Marcum is behind bars for aggravated battery and use of a deadly weapon.

Just before 7 p.m. Wednesday night, officers put out Marcum's name, asking the public to help find him. Just hours later, around midnight, officers found him and his girlfriend at a motel across the street from KBOI.

Officers say the couple tried to leave the motel, but were arrested in our station's parking lot before they could get away. Officers and a K-9 unit spent over an hour searching their vehicle. There's no word yet on anything they might have found inside.

Officers say Marcum's girlfriend, Faith Delgado, was arrested for harboring a fugitive and destruction of evidence after police say she destroyed a key piece of evidence from the case.
