Former sheriff's employee suspected of taking $3,500
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - A southeastern Idaho woman has been arrested on suspicion of taking about $3,500 from a fund in the Madison County sheriff's office, where she worked.
KPVI-TV reports Sandra Marie Biorn of Rexburg was arrested on Oct. 22 and booked on a warrant charging her with misuse of public monies by a public employee, grand theft and computer crime.
Court records say in mid-July, the sheriff's office determined about $3,500 was missing from the fund over the previous 30 days. Prosecutors say investigations completed in August indicated Biorn was responsible.
Biorn's arraignment is set for Nov. 5.
