Firefighters rescue puppies in trailer fire in Garden City

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) - Firefighters have rescued two dogs and 10 puppies in a trailer fire in Garden City.

The fire call came in at about 2:46 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found the structure about 20 percent involved. Two people were also reportedly inside the trailer home when the fire began but were able to get themsleves out safely.

Firefighters were able to rescue two adult dogs from inside the trailer home, then learned a litter of ten puppies were also still inside. As crews of firefighters fought the fire, a pair of firefighters were able to go inside the home and rescue the litter of puppies.

Firefighters administered life-saving oxygen to the dogs who were, at last report, all doing fine.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.
