Firefighters quickly douse second alarm Boise house fire

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Firefighters managed to quickly put out a second alarm fire at a home on Five Mile Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say a passerby noticed smoke coming out of the home located on the 5000 block of S. Five Mile just after 2 p.m. Firefighters arrived, but no one was home.

Fire officials say a second alarm was called, but only one crew from the alarm was needed. The fire started in the basement and smoke spread through the house via a laundry chute.
