Fire crews extinguish truck fire near the Boise Airport

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Firefighters responded to a report of a truck that caught fire Friday afternoon near the Boise Airport.

Ada County Dispatch says it appeared that the boxes that the truck was hauling caught fire on Orchard Street near Gowen Road.

Fire crews on the scene say that the truck was hauling 57,000 pounds of compressed cardboard.

No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters say Orchard is expected to be closed for two to three hours while the debris is cleaned up.
