Fiery accident sends three people to hospital

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Three people were transported to the hospital overnight after a car burst into flames. Police say an SUV and a car ran into each other on Amity Road and Surprise Way.

It was not long before the car was engulfed in flames. Firefighters put out the fire quickly.

Boise Fire tell us car fires pose a lot of risk, "Cars fires themselves present hazards not only to firefighters but to bystanders as well, many cars now days with the products such as plastics that give off toxic gases, fuel lines, any of the compressed cylinders, have the ability to explode and fly a few hundred feet. The quicker we can extinguish the fire the better it is for everybody around.

Police are now investigating what caused the crash.

The conditions of the three injured people are unknown.
