Duo escape North Idaho prison while unloading delivery truck

COTTONWOOD, Idaho (KBOI) -- Two prisoners have escaped the North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood.

The Idaho Department of Correction says authorities are looking for Tyler Dean Davis and Dylan James Ames.

Jeff Ray, public information officer with IDOC, says Davis and Ames were unloading a delivery truck when they fled the area at about 11:45 a.m.

Davis was sentenced to two to five years for grand theft in Ada County, while Ames was sentenced to five to 10 years on drug-related charges out of Kootenai County.
