Drugs, handguns seized in traffic stop near American Falls

POWER COUNTY, Idaho (KBOI) - Idaho State Police seized several pounds of drugs, narcotics, drug paraphernalia and handguns in a traffic stop on Interstate 86 near American Falls Sunday.

Police stopped 35-year-old Daniel Sewell for a traffic violation, and found him and his passenger, 30-year-old Timothy Scott, carrying 14.6 pounds of suspected marijuana, schedule 2 narcotics, drug paraphernalia and two handguns in their car.

Sewell and Scott, both from North Dakota, are now in the Power County Jail. They are charged with trafficking a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of firearms, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
