Discovery Center gears up for 'Sharks After Dark'
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) —
Sharks After Dark, the underwater themed adult night through the Discovery Center, is coming up on July 21.
The Discovery Center teamed up with the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology to help bring the story of a shark that lived in Idaho to life.
The museum tells KBOI 2News the shark, called a buzz saw shark, lived in Idaho around 250 million years ago. Back then, Idaho was part of an inland sea.
With the help of a professor from the museum, the Discovery Center will have a life size, 3D model of the shark's jaw to show visitors of Sharks After Dark.
The professor was able to accomplish the model through the help of CT scans and 3D printers.
