Deputies searching for missing student last seen in Horseshoe Bend

BOISE COUNTY, Idaho (KBOI) - Police are asking for your help in finding a missing college student who was last seen in Idaho.

The Boise County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Lucius Robbi was last seen in Banks on Tuesday, August 19, around 2:00 p.m. He was headed back to school at the University of Montana, but never arrived for orientation on Wednesday.

Nobody has talked to Robbi since he left Banks. Deputies say they aren't sure which route he might have taken to get to Missoula, although they say he possibly would have taken Highway 21 to Stanley, then Highway 75 to Challis, then Highway 93 to Montana, or Highway 55 to Orofino and then Highway 12 to Montana.

Lucius Robbi's boss at Cascade Raft and Kayak says that The 21 year old has worked for him two summers now. He says he's from California and is a great kayaker and isn't the type to spontaneously disappear. "Very surprised. Lucius is not the irresponsible type to get distracted and go hiking for a week because it caught his fancy or anything like that," Kenneth Long said.

Robbi was driving a Green 1997 Subaru with California license plates 6CCP540. The car should have one or two kayaks on top.

Robbi's friends headed out Sunday to Stanley thinking that was the way he took. His boss says they're taking side roads and forest service roads to get there to check things out. "Everybody's very concerned right now not having any news not having any real information is extremely difficult,' Long said.

If you have seen Robbi, or have any information about his possible whereabouts, you're asked to call the Boise County Sheriff's Office at (208) 392-4411.
