Crash in Nampa snarls traffic, sends one man to the hospital

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - Idaho State Police is investigating a crash that sent one man to the hospital Saturday morning.

The crash happened shortly before 10:00 a.m. in Nampa, blocking traffic on Karcher Road near the intersection of Latah Drive.

According to Idaho State Police, 17-year-old Tanner Sayer was driving north on Karcher Road when he looked down and didn't see traffic slowing to a stop for a red light. Investigators say the Nampa teen's car crashed into the car in front of him, which then hit another car.

Deputies say 39-year-old Susana Marquez-Delgado was driving the second car, which crashed into 51-year-old Bruce Thompson's vehicle.

Thompson was taken to St. Lukes in Nampa, however the severity of his injuries is unknown. Idaho State Police said everyone was wearing their seat belts.

Traffic was blocked for more than an hour.
