Court documents give chilling look inside sexual attack charge

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- We were able to take a closer look at the grand jury indictment in the sexual assault and aggravated batter charges against Gregory Lee Macho.

And the court documents give a disturbing picture of what the woman he's charged with sexually assaulting in the mall parking lot had to endure inside her car at a Boise mall parking lot last May.

Prosecutors say the 31-year-old Macho pulled his pickup truck behind the first victim's car, then pushed himself inside the car when she opened the door and began to sexually assault her.

The indictment says Macho used force intended to do bodily harm "by grabbing and twisting her head and neck, covering her mouth, licking and/or kissing her face, and grabbing her breasts."

Another woman, Angie Smoot, who was nearby, heard the victim crying and tried to help, prosecutors say.

They say Macho stopped his sexual attack, got back into his pickup truck and intentionally hit Smoot with his truck, inflicting serious leg and hip injuries.

We spoke with Angie Smoot last month who told us she was relieved when Macho was arrested. She said she figured the suspect had fled the state. Smoot has since moved out of the area, and her full recovery could take a year.

Macho is scheduled to be back in court Tuesday.
