Coroner: Texas man was killed by boat propeller at Lucky Peak

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Ada County Coroner's Office has released the name of the man killed in a boating accident last week at Lucky Peak Reservoir.

The coroner's office says that Wesley Matthews II, 22, of Kyle, Texas, died last Friday from blunt force trauma of the head after falling from a boat then being struck by the propeller.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says it appeared Matthews fell out towards the bow of the boat and was then forced under it while it was moving forward at about 15-20 miles per hour.

The coroner says the manner of death was accidental.

He was not wearing a life jacket.
