Children playing in rock quarry in Coeur d'Alene discover human remains
COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho (KBOI) —
Children playing in a rock quarry in northern Idaho found human remains.
The Coeur d'Alene Police Department says officers were called out to Central Premix on Kathleen Avenue Sunday after two children found the bones along with some clothing while they were exploring the quarry.
Detectives say the remains appear to be human and have likely been there for a significant amount of time. There's no information related to the identity of the remains or a cause of death.
Police say additional information will be released when it becomes available.
