Check your Facebook, it might look different!

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The next time you log on to Facebook, the newsfeed might have a new look.

"Because news feed supports such a broad range of content types, as the way that we share changes, the composition of the newsfeed naturally changes as well," said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO.

The changes are meant to reflect a shift in how we post, that means less text and more photos, plus the images will be larger.

"It's a pretty amazing things, what they offer for free. Ten years ago it would be out of the question, but people are kind of spoiled I guess, but people have to make money," said Joe Chefalu a Boise resident.

The revamp also introduced multiple news feed. There will be feeds just for friends, just for photos, a feed for music and a feed for the brands you merely follow. The new look will be consistent across desktops, mobile phones and tablets.

But with the changes, many local Facebook users are thinking about jumping ship.

"Google Plus is kind of jumping on this and I just noticed that they are trying to get me to use my Google Plus more, so I think other social networks are going to take advantage of this," said Allison Grissom a Boise resident.

It will probably be 6 months to a year before every Facebook user sees the change.
