Cars and Coffee Boise releases statement on crash

A driver leaving the Cars and Coffee event in Boise on Saturday lost control of his Porsche and plowed into a crowd of spectators.

Witnesses say car show participants were showing off for spectators gathered on the sidewalk. This happened on Overland Road, a public street, and was not an official part of the Cars and Coffee event.

Cars and Coffee, Boise released a statement on its Facebook page.

"We want to express how deeply saddened we are over the incident that occurred Saturday," the statement read.

Boise Police told KBOI 2News on Monday that there were no life injuries from the crash.
