Carry On: School supplies found in suspicious backpack

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - All is well back at the Edwards Theater in Nampa.

Earlier Monday, the Nampa Bomb Squad was called out to the theater at about 10:30 a.m. over a suspicious backpack. Nampa PD said an employee found a backpack chained and locked to a gas meter.

Officials deployed a robot and X-Rayed the backpack and evaluated the contents and determined all that was inside was some school supplies.

About five homes in the area had been evacuated but all of the homeowners have been allowed to go back to their homes.

Nampa Police said officers were able to identify the owner of the bag and have spoken to the juvenile's parent. At this time the juvenile has
not been located.

"We do not know why the bag was left where it was and do not know if
any charges will be filed," police said in a news release.
