Calling all superheroes! Annual walk returns to Canyon County

Pinwheels serve as a visual reminder to stop child abuse.

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (KBOI) - Idahoans are invited to take part in the 3rd annual Superhero/Child Abuse Awareness March on Saturday, April 22.

Participants, especially children, are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero (or wear blue) for the march.

It will begin at the Caldwell Police Department at 3 pm.

Marchers will make their way to Justice Park, then to the Courthouse where they will plant a garden of blue pinwheels that will remain in place through the end of the month.

The blue pinwheel is the nationally recognized symbol of child abuse prevention.

The pinwheels will be provided to each participant free of charge.

All kids who participate in the superhero walk will receive a prize.

Complimentary hot dogs and snacks will also be available after the march.
