Bujak wants to represent himself in bankruptcy fraud case

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Former Canyon County Prosecutor John Bujak wants to represent himself in his federal bankruptcy fraud case.

His current appointed public defense counsel filed a request with the judge to be removed from the case this week.

Bujak is facing charges that he did not disclose during bankruptcy proceedings that he and his wife owned a $25,000 Rolex watch, and that he later sold it without notifying the court.

He is scheduled to go to trial in early May.
