Brundage wraps up 'one of its most successful seasons on record'

MCCALL, Idaho (KBOI) - The 2013/14 Winter Season wrapped up today at Brundage Mountain. The mountain said despite below-average snowfall, the ski area had one of its most successful seasons on record.

Brundage logged 228 inches this season, which falls well short of the mountain's 325 inch annual average.

"Early on, we seemed to get just enough snow, just when we needed it," said resort spokesperson, April Whitney. "Then we saw some great snowfall in February and March so our late season visitors got to experience a lot more of the powder days we are famous for."

Brundage plans to open back up for summer operations on June 27. In addition to the resort's traditional lift-served mountain biking and scenic chairlift rides, Brundage will also open Smoky's Bar & Grill on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day.

"The mountain will be abuzz with summer projects that will include continued improvements to the base lodge facilities, engineering and environmental work for siting the Sargents Expansion, upgrades to the Activity Barn tubing park and many more projects," said Managing Director, Bob Looper.
