Bronze statue stolen from public partk in N. Idaho
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - Police in northern Idaho say a public art bronze statue valued at $25,000 has been stolen from a park in Coeur d'Alene.
Police tell the Spokesman Review the theft at Riverstone Park of the artwork titled "Kate" occurred late Friday or early Saturday.
Gone are a life-sized bronze statue of a 1920s era woman on a bicycle and one of two dogs running by her side.
Police say it took tools and more than one person to remove the art. Police say the bronze of the woman weighs several hundred pounds.
