BPD: Bloodied man caught red handed with stolen motorcycle

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A 19-year-old Boise man was caught red handed trying to steal a motorcycle Monday afternoon, officials say.

Boise PD says officers were notified of a suspicious person near 10th and Main Street. The caller said a man was bleeding from the mouth and pushing a motorcycle down the road. When police caught up to the suspect, identified as Matthew E. McGraw, officers say the motorcycle's wiring harness had been cut.

During the investigation, officers determined McGraw had been drinking and also gave investigators false information. The bicycle was stolen a few blocks away in downtown Boise.

McGraw has been charged with grand theft, minor in consumption of alcohol and providing false information.
