Boise woman dies in two-alarm house fire

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A woman died in a two-alarm house fire Monday morning.

The name of the victim has yet to be released by the Ada County Coroner.

Nobody else was inside the house, firefighters say.

Neighbors noticed smoke coming from the house around 7:30 a.m. and called 911.

Officials with the Boise Fire Department say the blaze started in the bedroom of the home, located at 5824 Randolph Drive.

Cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

"Crews went inside, found the victim on the bed and there was heavy fire inside the bedroom," said Chief Dennis Doan with Boise Fire. "The patient did not make it."

Much of the home suffered heat damage, the worst being the rear corner of the main level of the house where fire damage also went into the walls and attic.
