Boise Police officer suspended after domestic violence charge

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A Boise Police officer has been suspended after deputies arrested him on domestic violence allegations, officials say.

Boise Police says 43-year-old Gary Miller, who's been with BPD for 16 years, was arrested at an east Boise home just before 5 a.m. Friday by the Ada County Sheriff's Office. He's currently assigned to the Bench Patrol Division.

Miller will have to go through an internal investigation within the department.

"The Boise Police Department demands the highest professional conduct from its officers, both on and off duty, which includes conformance to laws," the department said in a news release.

Miller is expected to be arraigned in court later Friday.
