Two people were caught stealing a vehicle that was left in a driveway early Monday to warm up, Boise Police say.

Officers say at about 3:11 a.m. a Boise man left his truck running in his driveway on Gourley Street when two people got inside and drove away. Officers spotted the vehicle soon after near Malad and Orchard.

The suspects abandoned the truck and were found nearby, according to a news release. Both suspects, 31-year-old Matthew Long, and Jasmyn Bandurraga, gave police fake names when asked to provide their identity, BPD says.

Both have been charged with two felony charges of grand theft and providing false information to an officer.
