Boise man nominated for Hero of Conservation Award

BOISE - A Boise man has been recognized nationally for his local volunteer work.

Ken Miracle of Boise is one of six finalists for Field & Stream magazine's Heroes of Conservation awards.

Miracle, who has been interested in Sage Grouse since childhood, has dedicated the last 14 years to helping Idaho's declining population of the wild birds.

This September, he will travel to Washington, DC to meet with Congressional representatives and be presented with a $5,000 grant at a gala celebrating the awards.

We'll be sure to let you know if he's named Field & Stream's Conservation Hero of the Year.
