Boise man busted for trafficking marijuana through the mail

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Police arrested a Boise man Friday afternoon for trafficking marijuana delivered through the mail.

Boise Police says the arrest followed an investigation with the United States Postal Inspectors into 21-year-old Andrew R. Ralston.

According to police, Boise officers and a drug detection K9 stopped Ralston Friday afternoon after he picked up a package from a Boise Post Office. Officers had a search warrant for the package, and found it had approximately three pounds of marijuana inside. The package was sent from a California address.

Officers also searched Ralston's home, and found an additional seven pounds of marijuana, among other illegal drugs including MDMA (Ecstasy) and suspected LSD.

Ralston was charged with trafficking marijuana, and police say additional charges are possible.
