Boise City Council passes resolution for corrected foothills levy

Boise City Council-members voted to pass a resolution to put a foothills levy on the ballot in November.

The ballot will ask voters to amend the Boise City Open Space and Clean Water fund levy so it can collect revenue in fiscal years 2018 and 2019. The original ballot measure stated 2017 and 18 due to a clerical error. That error means the city hasn't been collecting revenue for the fund during this fiscal year.

In Tuesday's meeting, city council-members said they appreciated the way the issue was brought forward and addressed.

The 2015 levy was overwhelmingly approved by 74 percent of voters.
