Bee to blame for Wash. school bus crash

ORTING, Wash. -- The Washington State Patrol says a wayward bee appears to be to blame for a school bus that crashed into a ditch Monday afternoon.

No one was injured when the bus with 26 high school and middle school kids veered off SR-162 at South Prairie Road around 3 p.m.

Trooper Guy Gill said the driver told troopers a bee flew into the window and as she was swatting at it, the bus drifted a bit too far to the right and caught the edge of the ditch. The bus then tipped over at about a 45 degree angle.

Gill said the driver won't face any citations.
