Attempted murder survivor appears on the Dr. Phil Show

ONTARIO, Ore. -- A local man that survived an attempted murder last year was featured in an interview during the Dr. Phil Show that aired Friday.

When he was 19-years-old, Ramon Fry of Garden Valley was found shot in a home in Ontario, Oregon.

Police said that Fry's in-laws were involved in the shooting.

In the Dr. Phil interview Fry was joined by Deputy District Attorney Michael Dugan of Malhuer County.

Both Fry and Dugan talked about the attempted murder in Ontario, Ore. and the subsequent trial.

Fry's ex-father-in-law, Lester Earl Reger, and his wife, Erlene, were sentenced to jail time for their involvement in the murder plot.
