ACHD denies Boise's parking sensor plan

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Earlier this summer, Ada County Highway District entered into an agreement with the City of Boise to allow new sensors to be installed in the road to track parking in downtown.

Last month, commissioner Rebecca Arnold, who originally voted for the agreement, says she learned there were alternatives to putting them in the actual roadway and wanted ACHD to reconsider its approval.

Wednesday night, the commission agreed and denied the city's plan.

City officials say they will investigate their options in the next couple weeks and decide what to do.
