BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) —
A 32-year-old Boise man who police say was suspected of rape early Saturday morning and then died from a self inflicted gunshot wound has been publicly identified.
The Ada County Coroner's Office identified the man as Marshal Fulp of Boise.
The incident started when officers were called out to a report of a rape in the area of Compass Drive and Hill Road. Fulp, who was known to the victim, took off before police arrived.
Boise PD says they later found Fulp's vehicle on the 3700 block of North Stone Creek Way. As officers approached the vehicle, they found Fulp deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officers did not fire their weapons.
