Idaho CapEd Foundation donates $15K to United Way's P16 project
CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) —
The Idaho CapEd Foundation donated $15,000 to United Way of Treasure Valley on Tuesday to support its P16 Caldwell Education Project.
The project provides high-quality, early learning opportunities for Caldwell children that are of pre-school through the 16th grade (four years of post secondary education).
The P16 initiative is a collaboration between the Caldwell School District, the YMCA, Lee Pesky Learning Center, United Way of Treasure Valley and many other community partners.
The check was presented Tuesday by CapEd officials to United Way at Sacajawea Elementary in Caldwell.
The donation will help provide scholarships to allow children to attend preschool.
“This generous donation from CapEd is a game-changer for kids and families in Caldwell,” said Nora Carpenter, president and CEO of United Way of Treasure Valley. “This will help ensure more local children and families have more equitable access to early learning opportunities.”
