Titus Young's father tells Detroit papers his son has mental health issues

(KBOI) - Titus Young's father told two Detroit newspapers that his son suffers from a mental health disorder and desperately needs help.

In an interview with the Detroit News, Richard Young said his son sought treatment several times, but hasn't been dedicated to it.

Young went so far as to call his son's trouble with the law, a blessing in disguise.

"He's not dealing with it the way he should be. If the judge gives him a court order, then maybe he'll get the help he need."

According to Orange County court records, Titus Young entered a plea of not guilty on Tuesday for all eight charges against him. Young will appear in court May 24, for his pre-trial hearing.
