Steelheads skating on thin ice

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Kelly Cup Western Conference Final series started with such high hopes for Idaho, but after dropping the first two games to Stockton the Steelheads are skating on thin ice.

They head to California needing to win at least two games just to bring the series back to Boise, and have a shot at advancing to the Kelly Cup Finals.

Idaho hasn't played poorly in the first two games, just ran into a hot goaltender in Olivier Roy and now the pressure is on.

"To go down 2-0, I mean it's not going to be easy. But you've gotta take just one game at a time, that's all you can do, so we'll be fine. We've just gotta focus our energy on Wednesday, and take care of business there, and we'll be all right," said head coach Brad Ralph.

"You know, this has been a good team all year. We've put wins together, we've put streaks together, so why can't we go and take two, take three? You know, guys just gotta stay optimistic, and just have to bring their best game," added Steelheads forward Adrian Foster.

"It's unfortunate, but we've got a resilient team, and we look forward to the challenge, and we're excited to go there and try to get some wins there," added Steelheads defenseman Matt Case.

You can watch all the away games on CableONE channel 17. If you don't have cable, there's also a watch party at the SportZone inside CenturyLink Arena. The puck drops on all that fun Wednesday at 8 pm (MTN).
