Sheriff: 57-year-old Caldwell woman neglected horses, goats

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - A 57-year-old Caldwell woman has been charged with nine counts of animal cruelty.

The Canyon Sheriff's Office says Sabrina Carmack, 57, has been charged after an investigation by Canyon County Animal Control deputies.

On Nov. 28, four horses and six goats were seized from Carmack's property by the Canyon County Sheriff's Office and are now in protective custody. The seized animals are currently being treated by a licensed veterinarian for malnutrition and other health-related issues. One of the horses had to be euthanized.

Two of the six goats seized from Carmack's property were pregnant and each has since given birth to two baby goats, which are all in good health.

Carmack is currently on probation for possessing too many dogs without a kennel license. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who has been contacted by Carmack regarding the purchase of animals, to please call the Canyon County Animal Control Office at 454-7531.
