Police: Nampa woman arrested for 2 DUIs in 2 days

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Police say a 32-year-old Nampa woman has been arrested for the second time in two days for driving under the influence of prescription medication.

Nampa Police say that Ilia Dawson was first reported to be driving recklessly Tuesday afternoon. The person who called police said the she was driving all over the road, bouncing off curbs, and nearly caused multiple crashes.

Police arrested Dawson and charged her with DUI.

Officers then say she was arrested again on Wednesday afternoon for another charge of driving under the influence of prescription medication after a citizen reported her driving erratically.

Police say they want to remind the public that many medications warn people not to operate a motor vehicle while taking them, and that DUI laws apply to these medications as well.
