New look for BSU's home court, blue was an option

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise State's been talking about a facelift for their home court since the end of the 2012-13 season. Monday morning, they unveiled the new look.

The new Bronco logo covers center court, with blue lanes at each end, along with light wood inside the arc, and darker wood for the rest of the court.

It's a nice look, and probably better than the joke going around about painting the whole thing blue, but apparently that was actually an option.

"Yeah, we mocked one up, no question. But, you know, I'm a little bit more of a traditionalist, I think Gordy is, too. I think this really, this is a little bit modern, yet has a lot of traditional things that I love," said Men's Head Basketball Coach Leon Rice.

"It's kind of a retro look. It was fun working with Leon to kind of come up with the design. I feel great about it, I think it'll be great for fans to watch. I just don't want to be the first one to lose on it, I hope Leon is," joked Women's Head Basketball Coach Gordy Presnell.
