Nampa School District votes to outsource custodial services

The Nampa School District has voted to outsource its custodial services to an outside contractor

Our media partner the Idaho Press Tribune reports that the board voted 3-2 to eliminate 83 positions in order to help with its ongoing budget shortfall.

The district says all of the employees have the option of being re-hired by the contractor.

The district will also take up the idea of outsourcing food service staff at a meeting next month.
