Gridiron Dreams teaches campers and coaches

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Young football players with high hopes will hit the field at Warrior Stadium in Meridian for the annual Gridiron Dreams Football Academy on Friday.

In its fifth year, the camp has an impressive list of coaches they call mentors. All of them are former Boise State Broncos, many with current or former NFL experience.

Camp co-creators Alex Guererro and Jerrard Rabb say the coaches grow just as much as the campers.

"Maturity really, they are a lot more comfortable, and when they come out here they feel like they have something to offer. Their game is to a point where they can give back, and when they give back the kids are way more receptive and can feel that confidence," said Rabb.

All the fun starts Friday just before 6 pm (MTN), and runs through Saturday afternoon at Meridian High School.
